Month-end shouldn’t take a week.
Finance teams still spend days matching payments to invoices by hand — across ledgers, bank portals and inboxes. Jekon exists to make that work disappear, without ever asking you to trust a black box with your books.
Why we’re building Jekon.
Reconciliation is the least glamorous job in finance and one of the most important. Every report, every tax filing and every decision about cash rests on it. Yet the tools most growing businesses and accounting firms use still leave the matching to people: export, compare, tick, repeat.
The pieces to fix this finally exist. Ledgers like QuickBooks and Xero have open APIs, and bank data now flows through regulated providers such as Plaid and GoCardless. What’s been missing is software careful enough to be trusted with the books: one that automates only what it’s sure of, explains every decision, and lets you undo any of them.
That’s what we’re building, starting with invoice reconciliation: the step every month-end close depends on.
What changes when Jekon does the matching.
| Task | Before | With Jekon |
|---|---|---|
| Matching payments to invoices | Line by line in a spreadsheet | Scored and routed automatically |
| Split and partial payments | Left unmatched until someone notices | Flagged for review with the exact balance |
| Knowing who changed what | Hunting through emails and edits | An append-only audit trail |
| Bills that arrive on WhatsApp | Forwarded, downloaded, re-uploaded | Sent straight into your inbox |
What we believe.
Automate the sure things. Ask about the rest.
Most matches are obvious, and a person shouldn’t have to click through them. The close calls deserve a human — with the reasoning in front of them.
Nothing happens silently.
Every match, approval and reversal is recorded with what it replaced. If you can’t see why something happened, it shouldn’t have happened.
Your ledger stays yours.
Read-only connections, encrypted credentials and data isolated per company. We earn access to your books by being careful with them.
Built with the people who do the work.
Early-access teams and partner firms shape what we build next. We build with the people who close the books every month, not around them.
