The product

What exactly does Jekon do?

Jekon reconciles invoices against bank transactions. It pulls invoices and payments from QuickBooks Online or Xero, pulls transactions from your bank feeds, scores every likely pair, and routes each one to auto-approve, human review, or block. Every decision is logged with its reason and can be reversed.

How is this different from the bank rules in QuickBooks or Xero?

Bank rules match on fixed patterns you write by hand. Jekon scores each candidate pair on amount, counterparty, date and memo together, handles split, batch and partial payments, and puts close calls in one review queue instead of leaving them unmatched. It also keeps an append-only audit trail of every action.

Does an AI decide what gets matched?

No. Matching and routing are deterministic, testable rules — the same inputs always give the same result. Any AI-written explanations are optional, and matching keeps working without them.

How does Jekon handle multiple currencies?

Invoices and transactions keep their original currency, and Jekon never matches across currencies. A EUR payment will not be matched to a USD invoice — it’s blocked so a person can look at it.

Can I control how much Jekon approves on its own?

Yes. You set the thresholds for auto-approval. Large batch payments go to review by default (over $10,000 out of the box), and you can raise or lower that limit.

Setup & integrations

Which platforms and banks does Jekon support?

QuickBooks Online and Xero for accounting. Bank feeds through Plaid (US institutions) and GoCardless (UK and EU banks). Anything else can be imported by CSV. Using Zoho Books, Tally or something else? Tell us in your demo request — it helps us prioritise.

Do I need a developer to set it up?

No. You authorise QuickBooks or Xero and your bank through their standard sign-in screens. No code and no API keys to handle.

How does the WhatsApp inbox work?

An admin generates a one-time code in Jekon and texts “LINK <code>” to Jekon’s WhatsApp number. After that, any invoice PDF or photo sent from that number is verified and added to your Jekon inbox for review.

Can accounting firms manage several clients?

Yes. Firm accounts get a client roster and can step into each linked client’s books without separate logins, while every client’s data stays isolated. See the For agencies page for the partner program.

Can I revoke Jekon’s access?

Any time — from the connected-apps settings in QuickBooks or Xero, or by emailing dev.jekon@gmail.com.

Security & data

Will Jekon change anything in my books?

Connections are read-only. Jekon doesn’t write to your ledger unless you tell it to, and every action it records can be reversed.

What data does Jekon keep?

The invoice and bank-transaction records it needs to reconcile them, plus the audit trail of every match decision. That data is encrypted at rest and kept separate per company.

How are my credentials protected?

Accounting and bank connection tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, secrets are kept in a managed secret store, and tokens are scrubbed from logs. All traffic uses TLS.

Where can I read more?

Our Security page covers isolation, encryption, access control and the audit trail in more detail, and our Privacy Policy covers your data rights.

Early access, pricing & demos

When can I start using Jekon?

We’re opening to a first group of businesses and accounting firms in November. Join early access and we’ll be in touch: live demos start on 11 November, and early-access members get the first slots.

How is Jekon priced?

Pricing depends on your volume and how many companies you connect. We’ll recommend the right plan after a demo, once we’ve seen your setup.

Is there a free trial?

We run supervised pilots on your own data. Terms are agreed case by case after the demo.

What happens in a demo?

In about 30 minutes we connect QuickBooks or Xero (read-only) or load a CSV, reconcile a month of your data, walk through the review queue and audit trail, and set limits that suit your team.
