How a match gets its score.
Every candidate pair is scored on four signals. Fuzzy name matching reads “NORTHWIND STUDIO LLC ACH 0923” as Northwind Studio. Dates allow for late payers.
The score decides the lane — auto, review or block. Your thresholds decide where those lines sit.
- Amount40%
Exact or within tolerance, including split totals.
- Counterparty30%
Fuzzy name matching across messy bank descriptors.
- Date20%
Proximity to the due date, allowing for late payers.
- Memo10%
Invoice numbers and references buried in the memo line.

Scored with the same rules as the Jekon matching engine: amount, counterparty, date and memo, plus the currency guard and batch safety limit. Sample companies are fictional.
The messy cases are the whole point.
Split payments
Several payments that add up to one invoice, with the remaining balance tracked.
Batch payments
One transfer that settles several invoices at once — within your safety limit.
Partial payments
Short-paid invoices are flagged with the exact shortfall, never silently closed.
Messy bank memos
Truncated payee names and reference codes still resolve to the right customer.
Currency mismatches
A EUR payment is never matched to a USD invoice. No silent conversions.
Over your limit
Batches above your threshold ($10,000 by default) always go to a person.
The review queue
Only the matches that need a person. Approve, reject or edit — one at a time or in bulk.
Two payments ($3,500 + $2,500) together cover INV-2043. Balance remaining $0.
The audit trail
Every action, who took it, why, and what it replaced. Append-only, and any entry can be reversed.
